Tomáš Pospiszyl is an art historian, curator and educator. His research focuses on 20th and 21st century art, especially on the links between Eastern European and Western art and between high and popular culture. He is interested in the relationship between film and the visual arts and has published articles on the official artistic life of socialist Czechoslovakia. In addition to a number of catalogues and monographs, he is the author of Octobriana a ruský underground (2004), Srovnávací studie (2005) and Asociativní dějepis umění ( 2014). He is the Chair of the Department of Theory and History of Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague.
