ВIЙНА 2022 - exhibition of photographs from struggling Ukraine by Stanislav Krupar

Stanislav Krupar arrived in the Donbas in January 2022. Putin's declaration of war on 24 February found him in Avdiivka, not far from the frontline positions. In the Ukrainian capital, he lived through the dramatic March battle for Kiev, photographed the exodus of refugees from Irpinău, was with Ukrainian soldiers in front of Bucha, with a Czech fighter near Donetsk, documented the destruction in Bakhmut, Vuhlidar, Borodyansk or Kharkov, the broken Russian tanks in Trostianets and the tears of happiness of those who managed to flee the Russian-occupied territories under Zaporozhye. Stanislav Krupař is a Czech documentary photographer who works mainly for foreign media - Stern, Die Zeit, Der Speigel, De Standaard, De Volkskrant and others.
