synopsis

A conceptual black-and-white film without sound shows two young women floating above ground over a tennis court layout. Their jerky movements resemble a puppet dance. The specific effect making the impression of levitation was created by letting the girls jump and turn mid-air while capturing their movement.

biography

Vladimír Havrilla is an artist based in Bratislava, Slovakia. He has shown his work in solo exhibitions internationally, including in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and the United States and has won many international awards for his work. Havrilla graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, Bratislava, where he previously taught sculpting.
