synopsis
This intimate film combining photography and animated drawing puts on screen the confessions of a middle-class woman, whose family life – with the always absent truck driver husband and children growing more and more distant – consists of moments of solitude and attempts to overcome them via an extramarital affair. The leading role is played by the famous Finnish actress Kati Outinen."A wife who has cheated on her husband for 40 years reflects on her behaviour and the benefits she has reaped."

Catarina Diehl (1979) is a Finnish screenwriter, animator and director, a theatre artist and a visual artist. Her films combine documentary style and animation. Her debut – Confessions of an Angry Mother (2018) – was screened at several prestigious film festivals.more about film
