synopsis
This intimate portrait of the Russian composer Oleg Nikolaevitch Karavaychuk came to life through observations of the artist’s creative routine. The striking visual aspects of the documentary draw from the potential of Karavaychuk’s personality, which, within the Russian context, is just as disquieting as Oleg’s music is to its listeners.biography
Venezuelan filmmaker Andrés Duque (1972) was originally employed at HBO’s Latin American Division and directed reports about film festivals. After studying creative documentary theory and practice, he introduced his best-known film Ivan Z in 2004.
