Road to Vote
Norbert Hofer and Alexander Van der Bellen each find a magical cash register that can tell the future in the glove compartment of a restored Mercedes. The car’s driver, journalist Hanno Settle, uses this and other playful tasks to supplement traditional discussions with the presidential candidates. This stylized road movie presents politicians better than any billboard flashing by on the highway.

Adult Contemporary: Experimental Music Video 016
Music programmer and curator Pavel Klusák presents abstract and experimental films as a window onto the radicalization of the term “music video.” Noise, drone, feedback, sound collages, field recordings, deep electronica, improvised interactions, the post-technological world: experimental music as a source of inspiration and provocation for contemporary visual artists. Matthew Revert and Vanessa Rossetto, Franck Vigroux and Mika Vainio, Jon Rafman and Oneohtrix Point Never, and other collaborative efforts.---The Workshop is led by Pavel Klusák

One Man Show
One of the longest broadcasted programmes in the history of Stream, an Internet TV, is based on creative disruptions of the standards of commercial TV stations. The episode that undermined the shooting of a reality cooking show, Prostřeno (Come Dine With Me), and touched on the problems of people who suffer from Tourette syndrome was one of those whose broadcast caused a media scandal.

Doctors: The Czechs are Inventive
This narrative, multi-faceted exploration behind the scenes of medicine literally takes a look at what’s on the other side of the screen. At points with curiosity, at others with a personal, technical, or suspenseful tone, it uses examples of leading Czech doctors (a plastic surgeon, a neurosurgeon, and a cardiologist) to present the social connotations of a service that is acknowledged yet also undervalued.

Could politics appear attractive on TV?
Most TV viewers see as the most boring such documents, TV journalism and even entertainment formats that focus on political issues. This workshop will present three programs that prove to be the very opposite of boring: The Circus, a Showtime docusoap, following the US presidential campaigns since the first primaries in January 2016; BBC’s An Idiot's Guide to Politics, which reminds politicians of their broken promises; and Channel 4’s Ballot Monkeys, a satirical series, where TV audience watches the British election campaign through the eyes of four MP hopefuls.---Workhop is led by Milan Kruml

The Magnificent Five (working title)
After living in an institution for twenty-eight years, Petr relocates to a training apartment, where he is preparing for a possible move into the “real world”. This untraditional look at a socially sensitive issue from the inside out, without the standard preconceived views of sympathy or irony, shows that the basic principles underlying interpersonal relationships are always the same – touching, humorous, and fragile.

This entertaining socio-cultural experiment moves smoothly between topics like fashion, technology, and politics, and even covers “what vacuum cleaners meant for women, and mortgages for the middle-class”.

Heinz-Christian Strache – Ibiza video
Before the Austrian parliamentary elections in 2017, Heinz-Christian Strache, Head of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ), agreed to support the alleged family of a Russian oligarch in exchange for counter-services. This agreement was revealed thanks to a video filmed in secret. A fundamental issue in ethical journalism is whether it is, at all, permissible within the public interest to provoke a situation and capture it all on a hidden camera.
