synopsis

A raw statement on the life of a criminal unjustly accused of the murder of the son of a prominent Texas attorney, committed by his accomplice during a robbery. Through footage shot in prison, the film captures the desperation felt by a man a few hours before his scheduled execution.

biography

American director Scott Calonico (1960) lives and works in Great Britain. His films are regularly shown at prestigious international festivals including Sundance, Rotterdam and SXSW. His earlier film Final Draft (2014), in which he reconstructed the process of putting together the material for recording the radio broadcast that the BBC would have broadcast in case of a nuclear attack, was in competition at last year’s Jihlava IDFF.
