biography

Ragnheidur Gestsdottir is a visual artist and independent filmmaker based in Reykjavík. Her work has been featured at numerous exhibitions around the world, including Iceland, the United States, Bulgaria and Sweden. In addition to working on her art, Gestsdottir teaches at the Icelandic Academy of the Arts, the University of Iceland and the Reykjavík School of the Arts. She holds an M.F.A. in Fine Arts from Bard College and an M.A. in Visual Anthropology from Goldsmiths College, University of London.
