Violena Ampudia (Cuba, 1993) Actriz & Documentary Filmmaker Graduated in 2012 from the National School of Arts in Cuba, specializing in Acting. Graduated in 2020 from the International Film and TV School of San Antonio de los Baños (EICTV) in the specialty of Documentary Filmmaking. Her films address the complexity of interpersonal relationships and growth processes, focusing on women’s problematics: motherhood and gender identity; and have been selected in several festivals such as Jihlava IDFF, Cinélatino Rencontres de Toulouse, Curta Kinoforum São Paulo ISSF, Potiers IDFF and Doc Buenos Aires. She is currently finishing DocNomads, a MA in Documentary Filmmaking, between Lisbon, Budapest and Brussels.
