Nikolas Candido (1991, Niterói - Brazil) is a filmmaker and author who graduated from Cuba's International Film and Television School (EICTV) and studied Comparative Literature at University of Geneva in Switzerland, where he has taught Super 8 courses. He is currently doing a Master 2 in Documentary film at the Documentary Film School of Lussas (in partnership with University of Grenoble) in France. His film Fragments to Céline had its world premiere at Jihlava 2021. In 2022, his film-clip Lumière shot in Super 8 won the best art conception at Cultural Center of Sao Paulo, Super OFF. His work Vive les Fragments with Tetsuya Maruyama counts among the 21 selected works for Mekas 100, an homage to Jonas Mekas in his centenary, selected for Festival Ultracinema.
