At the third Seville Film Festival (2022), documentary filmmaker Aynur Kazimova was nominated for a local short film award. She is a portrait photographer who believes that people's facial features are where real art and beauty may be found. She graduated with a master's in radio, television, and cinema from Baku State University and a bachelor's in publishing and editing from Gazi University in Turkey. She came in second place in the Doklad iSchool directing program in 2021, which was run by the DokuBaku film festival. She contributed to several short documentaries about violence against women as an editor, performer, and director. She is now engaged in production on the feature-length biographical documentary film Majid killed Majid.
