Alyona Larionova is an artist-filmmaker with over 7 years of experience of creating complex projects with numerous collaborators that echo a deep concern for the environment and social change. Her collaborative practice is driven by empathy and a profound interest in decolonial and feminist perspectives within the realms of science and ecology. A graduate of LCC and Slade School of Fine Art, her films have been screened in over 12 countries, including Videobrasil, Kasseler Dokfest, Rencontres Internationales, Antimatter, and Lo Schermo Dell’Arte, among others. Her films include Firelighters (2023), Staying with the trouble (2018), Across Lips (2016), and Changing Mind of Present (2014). She is currently developing her first feature documentary "Word for the World is Fire".
