Peter Tscherkassky (1958), a leading representative of Austria’s third avant-garde, studied political science and philosophy. He has made more than 30 films that have been shown throughout the world, and has received dozens of awards at film festivals. He has also organized many retrospectives, is a founding member of the Sixpackfilm distribution company, and writes about film as well.
