Cottagers – Panel discussion about Czech individualism
It seems that Czech society is rather individualistic and rather hostile to collectivity and community life. We’re interested in what Czech individualism really is, how it’s being written into the shape of our everyday lives and public space, and how those who strive to build communities in our country are succeeding. Last but not least, we want to inquire into the role of the state - what place should it occupy to support community life and at the same time not impose it as a band-aid for its failures?
