Tent Play: Play-Dating Is the New Speed-Dating!

Play-dating is a workshop and performance in one. Instead of competition, it offers curiosity, play, and comfortable touch. It combines sensory perception, (non-)verbal communication, and spontaneous interaction between people who might otherwise never have met. In the playful, friendly, and safe space of the festival tent, it creates an opportunity to make contact outside of the usual social roles and prejudices – through silence, voices, and bodies. At a time when we read more about ourselves than we talk to each other, Play-dating reminds us that understanding comes from direct experience – from mutual glances and shared laughter, or simply from an ordinary encounter with someone we didn't know a moment ago.
