Ante Verzotti

Croatian artist Ante Verzotti (1942) studied camera at the Film and Television School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU), from which he graduated in 1973. His first film, Twist-Twist, was screened at the 1963 Genre Film Festival in Zagreb. In 1967, the same festival awarded him for his entire opus of eight films. Besides film, Verzotti has also worked in photography since 1958. He has been an associate professor for photography, film and television at the UMAS Art Academy in Split since its founding in 1997. In 2009, the Croatian Union of Photographers awarded him the highest honorary title of the first order: Master of Photography (MF-HFS), the first such award in Croatia.
