synopsis
Poisonous colours flow into the insistent liquidity of ammonia and methane, where lights spill beyond contours and vie with the harshness. An obsolete camera reveals a battlefield within the frame; the unrestrained artifice of blotches of colour and sound turns a distant conflict into an occupation of the senses. biography
Franco Figueroa is an Argentine film director and editor. He studied film at the Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires. He made his debut with What Those Eyes Saw (2022), which he co-directed with María Aparicio. The City and the Captive (2024) is his first film as sole director. He edited An Odd Turn (2024) by Francisco Lezama, which won the Golden Bear at the Berlinale.film details
