synopsis

Viktor Kolář in Ostrava, Karel Cudlín in Prague, and Jiří Hanke in Kladno. Three witnesses to an era, three photographers, three disparate journeys and different working methods. Men who have been photographing their most important “series” all their lives. Every chronicle arises over the course of many years. The creator is part of it, often photographing the same phenomenon as it changes over time. The film’s main theme is social transformation, but also the quest for the inner appearances of the landscape. The urban scenery has changed, just like the lives of their inhabitants.
