This selection of short films from the archives of Original Videojournal captures several important turning points in the life of Václav Havel between 1985 and 1990, such as his arrest and release from prison, and scenes from his rural home in Hrádeček in the 1980s, where he talks about writing and his relationship to theatre. In One Day of Václav Havel, the cameraman follows him on a hectic day during the Velvet Revolution. The block concludes with an excerpt from a film that offers a behind-the-scenes look at the first term of this quite unconventional president.
