Children Digging for Clams
Alexandre Promio / France / 1896 / 1 min.
synopsis
A child searches for shrimp in shallow coastal waters, turning a focused, everyday task into a small cinematic event. The camera observes the relationship between the body, the tool and the shifting surface of the water. Here, the travelogue gaze shifts away from grand monuments towards the unremarkable routines of everyday life.biography
