This poetic found-footage collage explores how little is needed in order to recognize desire. Through the use of rapid-cut close-ups of the female face and body, sometimes nearly unrecognizable flashes of arms, eyes, and lips, and accompanied by a similarly fragmentary composition of sounds, the film creates a set of pulsating allusions to physical and fantasy delight.biography
Austrian experimental filmmaker and master of found-footage work Peter Tscherkassky (1958) studied journalism, political science, and philosophy. He rearranged pre-existing material into new forms of poetic collages exploring genres and important subjects in film throughout the history of cinema. He most recently participated in the Ji.hlava festival in 2014, when he and his wife, the filmmaker Eve Heller, sat on the Fascinations jury.more about film
