synopsis
Martin Mareček's film attracted interest by its unconventional portrayal of the atmosphere surrounding the International Monetary Fund and World Bank summit in Prague in September 2000 showing the events before and during the meetings as a grotesque clash of ideologies. The summit took place on the inseparable background of protests of various anti-globalists. The focal point is a city under siege, the authors take part in the action, they shoot from the closest range and let both sides speak. The film was shot over two weeks on 16mm film and on miniDV.
