synopsis
A poetic portrait of sculptors who create their works on the potter's wheel from clay and other natural materials. The theme of the potter's wheel permeates through poetic scenes in which sculptors are captured at work, with their families, hand in hand with nature, and also in vivid images where both the creators and their artifacts are installed in everyday environments.

Director, screenwriter, cameraman and actor Mykhail Illienko (b. 1947) mainly shoots feature films that often reflect the modern history of Ukraine, the Second World War or communistic totalitarianism. The film,
Fuchzhou (1994), loosely follows the Ukrainian poetic tradition and is one of many key works for folklore film.
