synopsis
Physical interventions to the film medium – scratches, drawings, and paintings – overlay the urban and natural landscape captured by the fast-moving camera. Here and there, variations on the essential elements of the situation emerge from the visual stream: the hunter, the dog, the gun, and the flock of birds.
biography
Emanuel Tet (1956–2016) was a member of the kinema ikon
collective in Arad. After emigrating in the 1980s, he settled in Los Angeles, studied experimental film at UCLA, and worked as an animator and painter. His short film
A Drama at the Baroque Recycling Center was screened at the 1995 Venice Film Festival.
