biography

Roger Kahane (1932–2013) came from a scientific family. Despite this, he devoted himself to film, and in particular was a prolific director of television productions and series. He was known for his austere and sombre style. He liked to adapt complicated texts. Notable are his documentaries on the art world. He also devoted himself to theatre and ballet. Only his film Madly (1969) with Alain Delon is better known in Czech Republic.
