Yet Martin Janecký’s name is better known in America than in his native Czech Republic. The documentary enters the world of the American glass art community, where Janecký rose to international prominence, while also following his return to Prague—to his Czech roots, craftsmanship and tradition. A story of exceptional talent, passion and an obsession with glass. Martin Janecký has pushed the unique technique of inside sculpting—shaping molten glass from within—to its limits. biography

Petra Všelichová is an acclaimed Czech documentary filmmaker, director and screenwriter whose work has long focused on culture, history, portraits of artists and the exploration of national heritage. After graduating in cultural studies from the Faculty of Arts at Charles University in Prague in 2000, she began a longstanding collaboration with Czech Television, becoming one of its leading directors of current affairs programmes and documentaries, working primarily with its Ostrava studio. Her work combines an eye for detail with a deep understanding of individual lives and social phenomena. Her notable films include the internationally acclaimed Karel Reisz, ten filmový život (2012), about the celebrated Czech-born British director, a portrait of writer Jan Balabán, and the feature-length biographical documentary Jarek (2025), which explores the life and cultural impact of singer-songwriter Jaromír Nohavica.
