Lynne will explore kinetic movement, rhythm, and deep rupture as editing strategies for conveying different modes of expression – from urgency to joy. We will look at quotidian dance, body language, performing for the camera, protest and violence in the image.

biography

Lynne Sachs (1961) is an experimental filmmaker, poet and visual artist from New York. She combines personal documentary filmmaking with poetry, text and a constant search for new cinematic forms. Her work has been screened at festivals including Tribeca, San Francisco and Oberhausen.
