synopsis

FilmMEAT captures images of bald eagles – “migizi” in the language of the Ojibwe (Chippewa) tribe – feasting on the frozen surface of Lake Nipigon. The white snow and the red blood create an atmosphere in which the simple act of tearing apart the meat evokes an almost spiritual sense of the oneness of nature. We should also point out that this bird of prey is the national symbol of the United States.
