synopsis
This road film/documentary about Miloš Jakeš, the legendary General Secretary of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, goes on the road with him in 2014 and 2015, travelling through the Czech Republic and visiting locations connected with his life and his career. Thanks to his ascetic and unpretentious nature, Jakeš has lived to see a ripe old age. Even his appearance and his rhetoric have remained almost the same as they were years ago, and it is only his life that has changed since the Velvet Revolution. This film offers a different side of Miloš Jakeš, and, at the same time, is a journey back in time, presenting a behind-the-scenes view of the high politics of that time and its players.
