Dear you,
Rasia Yusuf / Egypt / 2026 / World Premiere / 3 min.
synopsis
Fragments of body and landscape emerge from cinematic silence, given a shared skin by the grain and scars of black-and-white film. Definitions of getting acquainted, embracing and parting trace the course of an encounter whose intimacy eludes dictionary entries. Between naming and the sensory trace, a grammar of closeness takes shape: how to preserve a touch when all that remains is a word of greeting."tanışmak — to get to know one another; sarılmak — to embrace, to cling to, to hold on tightly; vedalaşmak — to say goodbye to one another."
