My Romany Children
Ladislav Kaboš / Czech Republic, Slovakia / 2014 / 52 min.
synopsis
A time-lapse documentary from the poorest eastern Slovakian Romany settlements. Czech viewers may find it interesting that it was from here that Romany were moved en masse to the Czech Republic at the end of 1960s. Director Ladislav Kaboš has authentically captured the search for a solution to the “Romany problem.” Without false sentiment he shows how difficult and important this search is.
