synopsis
Eight possible readings of a poem by contemporary Chinese poet Gu Chen conducted through the disintegration of the text’s characters; Chinese writing falls apart to emphasize the disparity of different readings and the impenetrability of the verses and the images that they create.
biography
Taiwanese artist Chuang Kai-Ting (1983) creates works that lie on the boundary between film and visual art. She studied theater studies and then filmmaking at the San Francisco Art Institute and now teaches art in Taiwan. Her experimental films have been screened in the USA, Korea, and France.
