synopsis
By day, I walk through the city automatically; at night, it becomes a mental tactical game. The way home is not just a transfer, but a series of assessments of potential dangers. During one night walk, the film explores how the perception of public space in the dark affects women’s freedom of movement.
biography
Anna Šťastná is a graduate of the Department of Architecture at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design (UMPRUM) in Prague, where she is currently pursuing her doctoral studies. She is interested in the social and political implications of architecture and in audiovisual art.
