synopsis
In his mosaic of events and opinions reflecting the situation in Czechoslovakia before the first free elections in 1990, Vachek juxtaposes various phenomena with a subtle sense of irony. He is captivated by the diversity of events, political ceremonies, and populist spectacles, and his focus on seemingly unimportant movements or gestures turns his film into a membrane between the hidden and the visible.
