synopsis
Mrs. Fang suffers from advanced Alzheimer’s disease. She no longer recognizes the people around her, she cannot speak and can barely move. Mrs. Fang is dying. Her relatives, friends and the filmmaker have gathered by her bed to, over the course of several days, show us dying as something that is both ordinary and that connects us all.
biography
Wang Bing (1967) is a leading figure of international documentary film. The Ji.hlava festival has previously shown his films Fengming: A Chinese Memoir (2007), Til Madness Do Us Part (2013) and Father and Sons (2014).
