For five years, documentary filmmaker Petr Horký regularly met with and filmed Thor Heyerdahl and traveled across 32 countries in the footsteps of the explorer’s expeditions and discoveries. He created the most comprehensive collection of personal memories of this man and today contributes to the spread of references to his work. “Thor said that at age 15 he had the feeling that he had been a failure. I’m convinced that many of us have had the same feeling. It’s interesting to see all that Thor had done throughout his life in an attempt to change this feeling,” said Petr Horký as an introduction to his workshop dedicated to this legendary Norwegian traveler and scientist.
