synopsis

Marketing by word. The strength of melody. Street vendors with their mobile carts and people who carry goods in baskets on their backs or in a bindle on a stick – they all try to attract customers by calling out the goods and services they have to offer. The music of the voices forms a central motif of this street documentary.

biography

Metin Akdemir (1984) attended film school in Istanbul and is currently studying gender studies. He works in film and television, and directs both movies and commercials.
