synopsis
In the Spatial Distortion, Petr Skala elaborates on the principles of abstract expressionism and transposes the method of action painting onto camera-free experimental film. A special spatial effect is achieved using an optical printer producing loops and multiple exposures of drawings, paintings and engravings made directly in the film material.
