synopsis

A unique longitudinal documentary series about children living on the margins of society. The "little birds" of the title are a class of largely Roma children which was formed at a Brno primary school in response to a petition by parents who didn't want their children to have Roma children as classmates.

This situation formed the foundation for the first long-term docusoap in the Czech Republic. The film was co-created by the children themselves, who have spent five years using small cameras to record the world as they see it.
