synopsis
An emotional journey through the history of one family's migration that began in 1935 with Yonez Okita's journey from Japan to Canada, where a few years later war and rampant racism made him the enemy. Three generations later, Randall Okita sets about reconstructing what has been lost, sorting through memories and moments both dark and hopeful, and guiding the viewer through the installation's personal journey of loss and healing.
