synopsis
This documentary essay, inspired by the radiance of the stars, is full of impressive images. Astronomers from around the world gather in the Atacama Desert to observe the universe, while a group of Chilean women look for their loved one’s bones in the same area. Guzmán looks at the victims of Pinochet’s dictatorship through a giant telescope lens, promoting the idea that looking out into the universe is the same as stepping back into the past.
