synopsis

The Space Transmission is Bruszewski’s film which explores the concept of space and spatial perception in film. This concept was explored on a special live TV show with Bruszewski riding a bike around a Polish Television studio as he is tracked by several cameras.

biography

Wojciech Bruszewski (1947–2009) was a multimedia artist from Łódź, Poland. He was a co-founder of the Workshop of Film Form, an influential Polish art group focused on cinema and visual art in the 1970s. Bruszewkski’s work has been shown worldwide, including in London, Warsaw and Edinburgh. He graduated from the National Film Academy in Łódź in 1975.
