synopsis
Universities are facing an urgent dilema: Should they provide education, or labour force for the current job market? This film essay follows several lines of thinking about tertiary education as well as a personal line of one of the authors, making an important point – university is also where we learn the habits of democratic decision making.
biography
Director Vít Janeček (1971) has taught documentary filmmaking at FAMU in Prague for 15 years. Together with his wife, Zuzana Piussi (1970), he set up a production company called D1film. The IDFF Ji.hlava screened their film Common Sense (2017).
