synopsis
In 1947, the Norwegian scientist Thor Heyerdahl and five companions undertook an adventurous journey across the Pacific Ocean to French Polynesia. Their objective was to prove their theory of how these islands were originally settled. The authentic shots made with a 16 mm camera during the journey are supplemented by a voiceover narration that provides a glimpse of daily life on a traditional primitive raft.
DETAIL:
“When the weather was really fine, our journey across the Pacific on the raft proved to be the best possible way to relax and enjoy life.” Thor Heyerdahl
