synopsis
The short experimental film made by Kryštof Pešek composes a geometric mosaic of everyday snapshots from a well-known environment giving a specific and abstract, dynamic and static impression. The divided picture, depictions of various textures and mundane moments are captured on a raw black-white material creating a feeling of time-lessness and almost palpable irascibility.
biography
The artist and audiovisual creator Kryštof Pešek (1986) is a graduate of the Centre of Audiovisual Arts at the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, and nowadays he teaches there. His work oscillates between computer art and videoart consisting mainly of synthetic moving picture based on the so-called “generative basis”, i.e. a picture created by code programming or math text.
