Elegy for Port-au-Prince
Aïda Maigre-Touchet / Canada, France / 2011 / East European Premiere / 10 min.
synopsis
FilmRUINS looks at the Haitian capital after the earthquake. Its authenticity is reinforced by commentary by local poet Dominique Batraville. The film introduces us to various people and presents moving images of the Haitians’ struggle with the earthquake’s aftermath. Despite its elegiac mood, it shows that poetry can help to renew the soul of a city.more about film
