Petr Zelenka is one of the most distinctive Czech filmmakers and playwrights of his generation. He studied screenwriting at FAMU and has been developing his singular voice since the mid-1990s. He gained recognition for the films Buttoners, Year of the Devil, Wrong Side Up and The Karamazovs, as well as the TV series In Treatment and Limits. His plays are staged across Europe. He is the recipient of numerous Czech Lion awards and festival prizes from Rotterdam, Karlovy Vary and Moscow.
