Takahiko Iimura

Japanese New York artist Iimura Takahiko (1937) is a pioneer of experimental film and video in the US and Japan. He has been working with film since the early 1960s, during which time he placed emphasis on pictorial lyricism and poetry. For decades, he has been creating video art and creating structural imagery and conceptual videos. Visitors of the Ji.hlava Festival may have seen his film Pacific Ocean (1971).
