Rogalik
Long wide-angle tracking shots that touch, in an exploratory manner, dreamlike scenes of the holiday season within a labyrinth of flaking homes, a panoply of their residents and Christmas-tree decorations. The images require no commentary, the music occasionally thunders, and the sound of mud under automobile tires means that we are leaving again, fresh loot in hand. The knitting needles pass the red yarn through each loop. Three adults sit in the comfort of an armchair and a sofa, inertly devoted to the television screen. A plush panda is clutched tightly. Only the lively pink balloon and fidgeting child interrupt the atmosphere of rural horror.

An Inaccurate Distance
Translator Riccardo Bertani almost never leaves his house, but still travels in his imagination through his linguistic book transformations. For him, language is a true gateway to other worlds. And although the translator speaks the entire time about other worlds and the frontiers of knowledge, we observe his home in detail from an intimate distance.DETAIL:“I've always been interested in Russian writers but my first translation have been from Ukrainian. Within 6-7 weeks I was already writing Ukrainian. And then the Russians followed and then many others until the Yakutsk.”

Borders
An immobile camera monitors a path winding through the fields. The movements of the crowd are a harbinger of the interruption of the static image. The procession of refugees, under the watchful eye of military forces, winds in an orderly fashion through the Slovenian countryside. They march on, uninterested in the camera’s eye or in the revelation of their existence.

Coriolis
Two women separated by continents share the same blood and come from a country where the local climate creates strong winds. The film was shot at several locations in the form of a video installation, whose poetics emerge from the director's staged dreamlike situations. One of the sisters is on a beach and the other in Helsinki in the winter. The exchange of the two women's thoughts winds through the film like an invisible thread, creating an unconscious correspondence about their experiences, set to the sound of the wind.

The Delay
The overflowing waters of Venezuela's Lago de Valencia led to the evacuation of several families living nearby. They found refuge in motels that are often used for sexual encounters. The film's images, suffused with resignation, provide a silent witness to the oppressive atmosphere without any vocal complaints. A flock of birds circles over the swamp. On the dusty pavement, a person's leftover belongings fade away. Grass grows over the half-decrepit collapsed buildings, but a fresh breeze blows through them as well. In the motel, the day passes at the pace of waiting.

Portrait of a Dead Father
A film about how a person remains within a person. A portrait of a father and daughter and their relationship. About the imprint our parents leave on us, and how to come to terms with their influence. About how much they influence our lives and the extent to which we are like them. Parental love is love for a child and a continuation of oneself. How much can we change this and what must we sacrifice in order to break free from this mutual dependency and to live and define our own lives? "What am I? Defined in opposition to you? Isn't this film another provocation? An incessant struggle?"

Taxi
Every corner of the world can have its taxi driver: A Chinese city, overgrown by a forest of skyscrapers, pulsating vibrantly and with unpredictable traffic – and a 100km-long beach in northern New Zealand where you’ll be hard-pressed to pass a car going in the other direction. Two different worlds brought together by a profession that can take on absurd forms. The sound of the ocean, whose high tide laps at tire tracks. This taxi driver doesn’t use the road. Cigar in hand, he hurtles towards the horizon, where the sky meets the land reflected in the wet sand.
