synopsis
This film, standing on the boundaries between documentary, diary and essay, develops Albert Serra’s uncompromising film visions. It captures the “secondary atmosphere” of the preparations for a different picture. This film about film and actors develops through minor situations and intimations, people relax between the takes, bicker, eat, and wait for the director in an arid landscape.
biography
The works of Spanish filmmaker and video artist Albert Serra (1975) are almost unscripted, and his films are based on improvisation, free of narrative conventions. His works include, amongst others, Russia (2007, Jihlava IDFF 2014) and Cuba Libre (2014, Jihlava IDFF 2014).
